Sorry I havent updated in a while, but not much has happened due to the sudden change in weather, which I hear is very common around here. It went from being extremely hot last week up until our games Sunday morning and then all of a sudden during our second game it started raining (in the bottom of the 5th thankfully). It rained on and off the rest of Sunday and then on Monday it was fine. I went with Margreet and Frans on Monday morning to a town about 45mins away where Margreet had a dentist appt so Frans and I walked around the streets of the town, had coffee, put more minutes on my phone over here, and then drove around looking at the houses. They are all old brick houses but they are huge multi-million dollar houses. Some people still live in them but a lot have been turned into offices because of the cost of living there. Later that night was my first night of assistant coaching the 2nd womens softball team. Our pitcher really struggled a lot until the last 2 innings but im hoping I can help her in the next 4 months. We ended up winning although I dont remember the final score.
Tuesday was a whole lot of nothing. I woke up with a headache, sore throat, and itchy eyes. It was not a good day for my allergies. It was overcast all day and then right before it wouldve been time for practice it started downpouring again. Practice was cancelled and I just sat inside all day.
Yesterday I woke up and went for a run. It was still drizzling but I needed to do something!! and I didnt get lost this time so that was a plus. Afterwards I went to the local market with Margreet and one of Niels' friends. We got me a weeks worth of allergy medicine from the pharmacy and then did some shopping for dinner. It was also the night for the 2nd teams practice but once again it started raining hard about an hour before practice. The coach cancelled practice but the girl Im working with, her name is Babeish, called and asked if we could still go throw. So the two of us went to the field and worked together for about an hour and then left.
Wouter invited me to go see a movie last night, we saw She's Out of My League in Rotterdam. Henk and Wouter's other friend (cant even say or spell his name) came with as well. The movie was ok, nothing I would pay to see again! But it was nice to go do something.
Today the weather is about the same. Overcast and not very bright. Its been humid everyday though, I feel like im back in texas!! Im hoping it doesnt start raining right before practice again. That would suck! Nothing else really planned for today besides hoping I finally get my package from my mom and Margreet is going to show me how to use the washer/dryer!! Exciting..I know :]
